at the end of的意思是“在……末（端）”。

e.g. The great man died at the end of 1942.

那位伟人1942年末去世。

I saw an old friend at the end of the room.

我看到在房间的尽头有位老朋友。

注意：in the end后不接of短语。

in the end与at the end of

in the end意为“最后；终于”，相当于finally，常常独立地作状语。

at the end of意为“在……尽头；在……末尾”。

根据句意，选用in the end或at the end of填空。

(3) They didn’t get married _____________.

2. We each took a cookie and ate it.

each在本句中作we的同位语，此时谓语动词要根据we用复数形式。

each of短语作主语，谓语动词用单数或复数形式都可以。
